I'm really hoping some smart soul out there has a solution to this head scratcher. On the Mail app I can't get my iCloud email to work. I've spent 2 days removing and adding my email, reinstalling the app used PowerShell , Googling for help and checking config settings, access via Windows Firewall I'm not an AVG or Windows Defender user and making sure my privacy settings allow access to Mail and Calendar.

My iCloud email is protected with Apple's two step verification, so I needed an 'app-specific password' to sign into an app that's not provided by Apple, like Windows Mail which doesn't support entering verification codes. Though I spent days fiddling around with the config settings, it seems Windows Mail pre-set config is correct, so you shouldn't need to change the incoming or outgoing email server settings:.
